The Grenada Revolution Online

Slogans captivated the landscape as part of the People's Revolutionary Government effort towards national mobilization. Sayings were found on billboards, banners, flags, T-shirts, posters, flybills and painted on walls. These were the Revolutionary Slogans - ‘Who Controls the Minds of the People Have the Power’.

"Soon after the intervention by the CPKF [Caribbean Peace Keeping Force] on 25th October . . , most of the NJM wall slogans exhibited over the last 4 years, were painted out by unknown hands. Almost overnite 'Join the N.Y.O.' and 'Forward Ever, Backyard Never' disappeared and were replaced by new messages." Quotation from Grenada Newsletter, 7 April 1984.
