A LAW to amend the Aliens (Land-Holding Regulation) Ordinance.

In the exercise of the powers bested in the People's Revolutionary Government by People's Law No. 2 (Establishment of People's Revolutionary Government) and in exercise of the powers vested in the Prime Minister by People's Law No. 10. (Declaration and Effect of Laws) it is hereby ORDERED and PROCLAIMED as follows:
1---This Law may be cited as the
ALIENS (LAND-HOLDING REGULATION)
(AMENDMENT) LAW 1983.
2---Section 19 of the Aliens (Land-Holding Regulation) Ordinance (which was inserted by Act 6 of 1972 and amended by Act 31 of 1972 and by People's Law No. 98 of 1979) is further amended by inserting after subsection (2) the following subsection:
"(3) The Prime Minister may upon application remit in whole or in part any fee or charge imposed under this section if he is satisfied that it is just and equitable so to do.".

In the exercise of the powers vested in the People's Revolutionary Government by People's Law No. 2 (Establishment of People's Revolutionary Government) and in exercise of the powers vested in the Prime Minister by People's Law No. 10 (Declaration and Effect of Laws) it is hereby ORDERED and PROCLAIMED as follows: -
1. This Law may be cited as the
CARNIVAL LAW 1983
2. Notwithstanding the Carnival Regulations Ordinance, as amended, carnival in 1983 may be celebrated between the hours of five o'clock in the morning of Monday 15th August and twelve O'clock midnight on Tuesday 16 August 1983.
3. Subject to the foregoing section the Carnival Regulation Ordinance, as amended, and the Rules made thereunder shall apply to the celebrations under this Law.
