Legal Matters
Legalities and illegalities surrounded events of the Grenada Revolution. There were questions related to international law and the decision to land American troops in Grenada. The justice rendered in the Maurice Bishop Murder trial of the Grenada 17 has been challenged. The 'People's Laws' enacted between 1979-1983 by the People's Revolutionary Government (PRG) provide the basis for enactment of procedures and events. The issue of constitutional reform has bearing on the foundation of law in Grenada.
